Amberwood Park Cleanup – Chandler Adopt-a-Park

W Calle del Norte, Chandler, AZ (map)
3rd Saturday each month, 8am (7am in the Summer)
Upcoming: Dec. 16, Jan. 20, Feb. 17, March 17

LD18 Democrats are participating in the city of Chandler’s Adopt-A-Park program.

What we do:
Sweep court and ramada areas
Clean picnic tables, benches, the water fountain, and the children’s play area
Pick up litter and pet waste, and fill dog stations with used plastic bags
Report damage, dirty bathrooms, and graffiti

In the Summer we meet early to avoid the heat, and we work (and play) for about one hour. Dress appropriately and wear sunblock. Please bring your reusable water bottles if you have one.

We have garbage bags, some extra gloves, and a rake, and broom, but please bring your own if you can.  There is play equipment, if you want to let your kids come and work or play! If you have any questions, please email LD18DemsInfo@gmail.com or use our Contact form. Thank you from LD18 Democrats!

Back to School – school supplies drive

Our next event will be scheduled in early Summer and posted on our Calendar page.

In cooperation with Threadz Tempe Teen Resource Center, Dems Give Back helped collect backpacks and schools supplies, and get them ready for distribution at Threadz.

“In partnership with Communities in Schools of Tempe and Kyrene, the Teen Resource Center aims to provide clothing, shoes, hygiene products and school supplies for teens, 13-18 years of age.”
